Are pets allowed?
Under certain circumstances pets are allowed. Pet fee is $20 per pet per day. Please contact us to make necessary arrangements.

How much to wash and dry in your laundry facilities?
$3.00 per wash and $3.00 to dry, please have a supply of loonies while staying here.

Where can I shop ?
For groceries go to the 49th Parallel in Cedar or farther afield Ladysmith or Nanaimo. For other shopping needs Nanaimo and Duncan have big box stores, Ladysmith and Cedar have shops.

When is the pool open?
Our pool and Jacuzzi is open year round and the heating of it starts in beginning of May so it is ready for mid May. We turn the heat off about mid September.  Daily use from 8 am to dusk. Please note no glass is allowed in pool area, and all children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

Who can moor at the dock?
All boats under 30 ft can dock, over 30′ must moor at buoys. The dock is used for fishing and crabbing, and is equipped with a life ring. We have a form that needs to be signed for guest moorage so please let us know if you plan to bring a boat.

Do you have any gear at Blue Moon Condos for use at the Resort?
Please bring your own boats, kayaks, canoes, fishing and crabbing gear and tennis equipment. If you bring a boat to dock you need to let the owner of the suite know because we have forms that need to be filled out.

We are relocating to the Island. How long can we stay?
We often have people staying longer periods of time for work, school, or who are moving to the area. Please check our rates page and contact us if you plan a longer stay.

How far is it to Nanaimo, Tofino, Victoria?
We are centrally located on the island and while staying here you will need a vehicle. We are about 20 minutes drive to downtown Nanaimo and VIU. Tofino is a 3 hour drive, Parksville Qualicum is about 45-1 hr away, Campbell River about 2 hrs, Port Hardy 4-5 hrs drive, Victoria about 2 hrs away.

Who do we contact in case of emergency?
Please contact Rosalind McKenzie, owner of the suite for any problems inside the suite, and if there is a water leak that may affect the Wenner’s below in 113 please let them know. Our caretakers Pat and Ian Brindle in suite 326 and their number is 250-245-0257. Our management company is Firm Management at 1-866-318-2300.

Where can we eat out?
Within 10 minutes of the resort you can enjoy great food at the Crow and Gate Pub, Wheatsheaf Pub. Coco Cafe, and Fresh Slice at the 49th Parallel grocery area, and the Mahle House Restaurant. Towards Ladysmith is Page Point Inn. About 20 minutes into Ladysmith and Nanaimo there are many great places for fast or slow food. Please see our Restaurant suggestions in our ‘Things to Do‘ page.

Where are your laundry, tennis courts, play area and refuse facilities?
As you walk toward the Tennis courts at the back of the property, to your left you will see our refuse signs. If you keep walking to courts you will see the laundry facility sign located on a small house beside the courts, and the play area is to your right amongst some trees

Where do we park?
You can park anywhere in the parking lot, and closest to your suite.

Are there BBQ’s
We have 3 areas you can BBQ . Please feel free to use any of them.
